They have GT HD, which was supposed to be released in the states, but got cancelled because the creators wanted to focus solely on the finished game, GT5. In the UK and Japan, GT5 Prologue was released in December for the 10 year anniversary of the Gran Turismo series. It comes stateside 03/18/08. And the GT Franchise usually releases a prologue one year before the official game. (however this will be the first prologue to hit US stores, it was previously just the UK and Japan that got them)

con-firmed!
Forza LIVE sucks on my friends 360, the opponents move at like 5-10 frames per second sometimes, and its super choppy, hard to tell when your behind them trying to mimic their braking and turn ins.
They wanted to perfect the in car camera mode (dashboard wheel etc) of every single vehicle, that was one of their main focuses for GT5 and the reason its gonna take forever (as if we give a flying F if we can see the cup holder tray!)
yeah i like seeing behind the scenes photos on how the games were made...5 people with microphones all around the car and they still cant get it right LOL!

i dont see why they cant just take a few weeks to add more levels to the existing GT4 engine! Seriously they could have a track done in a week or two with a full staff and track blueprints!
We need Buttonwillow Thunderhill Willowsprings etc along with the 50 other tracks in the United States (Forza is capable of this and will have more tracks than GT5 will in the next Forza 3 im betting)
