So Bill, are you comparing a high-power Subaru that can lay down the smackdown on the 1320 to a muscle car?
Why wouldn't that same car, lay that same smackdown on the track? I mean it is still a Subaru. It still got suspension tuning, huge brakes and tires.
I just don't have much experience on the track and I admit to that. I am not saying I cannot drive. I am just not going to go all ***** out sliding through turns. Thats where I will rely on raw power.

Gino,
Hey man I like these panties. They are big and roomy
By the way I am not a suby dude I am skywalker. Oh and the ESX is not fast, it's not bad though...
Alex,
There is 1 or 2 Subaru's in the world that can lay the smack down on a muscle car. But there how many muscle cars with minimal mods that blow away a Subaru. On the average muscle cars are far more powerful and meant for straight line use. That is all I am saying.
Drive your car Alex, you are always working on it, even in the RS days you did the same thing. We all know it is going to be awesome so just bring it out and drive the damn thing and have fun with it. That's why you bought it right.
Why don't you just enter your cars into the Ultimate Street Car Challenge and be done with it. Hell I will even enter mine in. I don't care if it sucks, as long as beat Gino.

I am not saying a Subaru will lay the smackdown on a muscle car. I am saying that a Subaru with raw power will lay an overall smackdown. In other words, by making more HP in your Subaru doesn't turn it into a straightline dummy. It improves the overall performance of the car.
In other words:
250hp Subaru is good. So so in 1320, good on the track.
500hp Subaru is gooooooooooooooood. 1320 city and great on the track.
The numbers above are just for example.
As far as not driving my car, you are right. I haven't been driving it a lot lately. But that is not becaue I cannot finish it.
I am a perfectionist. The most **** **** person. If it isn't perfect, it isn't worth showing or driving. If the hoseclamps are not the same, I will wait 3 months to get the right clamp. That is how **** I am.
RS was a diff story. I was a noob back then. However, what I did back then to my RS is something that 90% of the people NOW do not even consider doing. Same with the WRX.
I am an innovator and trend setter, not a follower. I do A LOT of custom work on my car by myself. Everything besides paint and shortblock/heads assembly is done by me with my own hands. Yes, that stuff takes long time. However, the end result is great. You get a feeling of something you personally archived. Thats different from bolting a whole bunch of bolt ons.
When doing custom work, you find out stuff that you would never otherwise know or be able to find out. That is the only way to learn and expand your mechanical knowledge first hand.
Just like Adam did with conversions, for example. Unless you get down and dirty, you will never know.
USCC? Maybe next year.

Alex just to let you know I was not talking smack. I seriously want to see your car up and running. Everyone does, you always have cool idea's why do you think we all harp on you to get the damn thing running. We want to know what is going on inside that devious mind of yours.
I bet you could get it into USCC by the end of this year no problem.

I gotta agree wholeheartedly.
To me, there is nothing like a car built to handle on the street & circuit, that has rediculous HP...
Can't wait to see it Alex!

Bill, I know you are not talking smack.
You are too short to talk smack to me.
j/k.
I was just explaining why I am slow when it comes to working on my cars.
Imprezer vs. Suby-Dude could be a 3 part event. That is fine. Meatballs are on the line.
I thought I saw you at ATP Joe. Yeah, I was put-putting around to make sure the car is ok. I just need to get Shiv over for an hour or so to check the settings before I start driving/breaking the motor in. Then, 1000 miles and power tuning. Before that, I need to redo my exhaust. 2.5" ain't gonna cut it for my motor and turbo, haha.
Other than that, the car is complete. One thing that is left and hella bugging me is the PCV/Crank/Valve Cover breather hoses. My STi heads have too many hoses and I don't want spaghetti under the hood so I am working on it.
Interior is wrapped up 100%.
Exterior is wrapped up 90%. Have to make some brakets for the bumpers and mount F/R licence plates.
Brakes are 100% done.
Suspension is 100% done.
Engine is 90% done. Need to clean everything up more and get the catch can situation figured out.
Oh well, then I am sure I will find something else to do.
And, I cannot get the stupid buffing white powder off the car. That crap is everywhere and on black car it is showing like if Gino was going to dye his hair blond.
