Hey dude, you might want to check this out...

2007 Legacy 2.5GT Spec.B

6-speed Manual transmission gear ratios:
1st - 3.636
2nd - 2.235
3rd - 1.521
4th - 1.137
5th - 0.891
6th - 0.707
reverse - ???
final drive ratio - 3.454

With your hunt for speed, that seems to be about as tall of a gear as they have ever made. It would mean having to change out to the same rear diff (R180 i would guess) but that would afford you another 20-50mph at the top end easy.

Yep. I think it's ralliespec that offers a gear set... I am
Definitely going to keep an eye out for a whole trans and rear end combo.

Hoods up and running. We talked about the build schedule today and came to realize that being ready for the airstrip attack Oct 25-26 may not be realistic...

Sooooo.... Instead of pushing and screwing up, we will plan for the next event instead and give ourselves some leeway...

Block in next week, only to be sent out for some more machining.

you know, you might want to call primitive racing, I am pretty sure their custom lightened flywheel is rated for higher than that, and cheaper to boot.

I ran something like that on a slammed out GTI (1st gen) I had once. they are ok. I would say for your run, just find steel wheels, and put moon disks on.
