Lesson of the Day: Look before you drink

So i get into work and took a sip off my water jug. Water bottle was uncovered over the weekend, but I didnt think anything of it.

This is what I saw walking on the surface AFTER my first sip and about to take my SECOND sip (pic is a bit grainy b/c is a camera phone):

Dude, that sucks. I usually check before I drink all the time, just incase something like this happens - though 99.9% of the time, there's nothing in my cup.

wow that sucks. Just hope that the spider was not pregnant, but even it was they probably wont survive through your stomach acid.

yes, lesson learned. This would be the second spider-near-my-mouth encounter. First one happened years ago, while I was half asleep.

Ive had a similiar encounter with a few yellow jackets. Camping in Coloma, the bees love to fly into soda cans. Its quite a shock to take a sip of soda and have a bee flying around in your mouth!! It happened twice when I was really young. Luckily the suckers didnt get me!

i don't drink out of things that were uncovered for long periods of time. I always dump it out and refill it before drinking.

Yep, but it's usually the other .01% when you don't look that there's something in there.
