What was the last year that subaru made a wrx or sti in PSM color for the GD chassis? Latest I could find was 05 wrx/05 sti. But I see posts that talk about a 06 psm window vane but no psm 06 wrx/sti

There are no psm 06 or 07s from the factory, I think even 05 didn't have psm - only cgm

 

Would you say CGM close to PSM?

 

CGM is not close to PSM. CGM is a tad darker, and under sunlight has a sort of bronze metallic to it. Pretty nice color!

 

05 did have psm. early MY05 had psm and late MY05 being cgm

 

my friend has a 05 sti psm...

 

05 did in fact have psm, i saw it in person the other day. I really like the psm color, it somehow glows really well during the night when you walk back to the car...cgm doesn't do that

 

are the new silver hatcback 08+ different?

my 06 is aw, but i had an 05 cgm. The cgm ****s on the regular psm imo, awesome color.

 

i guess, i like the sparkle/shine of the psm in sunlight when the car is clean AND how it reflects light really well at night, showing the contours of the small widebody the GD chassis has. i think cgm is too dark for it to shine/glow at night from my experience. cgm is a good color though none the less

 

08+ is called spark silver iirc

 

I think cgm/ugm kind of look dirty and not really paint, has to be super clean to look nice...I like psm - plain ol silver and doesn't show dirt easily

 

CGM has enough of a darkness that there isn't as much contrast for dirt, I always thought my cgm hid the dirt better than other color car I or my immediate family has owned. It's definitely not as bright as PSM. Remember there is CGM SGM, and UGM? the CGM is much lighter than the steel grey metallic.
