Last minute ALK install Bay area
Anyone know of a shop that can do an ALK install early tomorrow the 14th in the south bay? I'm autoxing this sunday and need this installed. I already called around to speed element and Auto innovations. Thanks for the help.
well first off youll need to set up an alignment as well.plus if you havent had any time with a alk on your car youll prob do better w/o it.it changes the entire way it handles.
but if your hard up call eq tuning.its a easy install and im sure someone could knock it out fast.speaking of easy why dont you do it

Did you try GST? They maybe able to squeeze you in as that is not a long install. Worth getting your alignment checked as well because the kit adds caster which can induce toe out.

thanks got it sorted out, will definitely have an allignment done afterwards. Hopefully the change in handling isn't too drastic for me to get used to. I only Auto X occasionally so i'm not really too worried about my class. don't most people still run in STX with the ALK? i've heard the issue argued both ways.

In SCCA a ALK with push you out of STX or STU because it changes the position of the sub-frame however...Whiteline makes another caster kit that does about the same as the ALK but does not move the postion of the subframe thus giving you the benefits without making you illegal. :-D This is coming from experience ;-)
