sunday is just autographs and pictures with the car and drives so youre not missing anything.maybe the hardcore guys that want pics and signatures would be there.

 

the GTO is piloted by rhys millen who used to be a rally driver, i think WRC type stuff.
ken gucci is really young and from the bay area so he automatically gets props. but i was really impressed with his style - while he didn't get the back tires as blazing as the other cars, his finesse and smooth lines really won him points. plus his car was underpowered compared to the gto/viper so he had the handicap in his favor. my friend and i were commenting on how he's going to be a big name in drifting like Tsuchiya. He's definitely going to be to drifting what Jeff Garrett is to NASCAR.

Also all the other events were pretty damm spectacular. Did anyone watch the Porsche cup? that was intense and SO LOUD

 

wth, i thought all these guys were from japan except for the S2k driver who was a bum...


so ken gucci is from the bay area... how did he get hooked up with rotora? does he live in japan?

plus not bay area man. he lives in LA where his family owns a garage that fixes cars. he is known cuz he advertised that he didnt' even have license until he was almsto 17 or so. but he was still able to play with teh best of them.

he has no line from what i have seen. reason being he has never gripped only drifted.

Rhys Millen is from New Zealand. He now owns a car tuning shop, they have a tuned EVO in the latest Sport Compact Car magazine but apparently he didnt' get a chance to tune it as he piloted the GTO in the laguna seca competition and before that he broke in the car at the North American D1 grand prix.

apparently the bar i thought was a grab handle from the angle i looked at was actually the hand brake. it looks beefy and i bet you can engage it really easily considering it has no button to press and you can pull it from any part. that's one wicked drift car!
