Laguna Seca 1/17-1/18 tons of time

Hi All,

Just wanted to let you know about the extremely low participation level in the www.tracquest.com Laguna Seca HPDE this coming Monday and Tuesday.

Their events are pretty fancy and are usually more expensive than most clubs, but because there is such low participation for this Monday and Tuesday you will get tons of track time. I believe they said 21 have signed up for Monday and less for Tuesday!

So, their "non-frills" price is $300/day, other clubs like Northern California Racing are about $285 so it is not that far off. Of course NASA is much less but you get less track time.

So if you want a ton of track time check out www.tracquest.com for event information.

Ok here is the link to the whose going list for the tracquest event on Monday and Tuesday. As of 8am on Sunday there are 19 cars signed up for the Tuesday . . . 19 total! It will be like having a private track. Let's get a few more Scoobys out there and have some fun! Laguna Seca is only 1 1/2 hours from SF.

Thanks Mike.

Gino and Soren worked late last night to hook me up with a helix dp and a borla hush so I won't had a problem with sound or exhaust fumes. I also put the resonator delete in.

I will see you in a week or two for a final tune!

I just go back from Laguna Seca, a total of 15 drivers and 5 instructors showed up for the entire day! The weather was in the 70's and clear.

The best part is I ran 152.3 miles in laps! I am completely worn out. It was like having a private track, and I left by 4pm.

Highlights:
*I posted my personal best time of 1:53.03
*A guy with a yellow 2003 RUF Porsche played cat an mouse with me for about 10 laps and afterwards spoke nothing but praise for the WRX
*I left by 4 pm and missed all the traffic

Special thanks to MPJ for the DP and cat back install
Special thanks to Mike at Gruppe-s for the tune and tips

I am going to bed!
