Koyo radiator help BAIC!
I searched, and I have a history of sucking at searching so forgive me but...
My upper radiator hose rubbed a pulley so it now has a hole in it. I even had the soda can armor for the fan but somehow never noticed the pulley. Will a stock OEM upper radiator hose fit on a Koyo radiator? I've heard they are just too long and need to be cut 1/4 inch at most but I can't find any real proof. It's for a 2002 WRX. |
All the radiator hoses are the same, need to cut about 1/4 off each end.
I have a Koyo rad and Mishimoto hoses, lol. Doesn't matter what hoses, they all need trimmed or they'll rub. |

same happened to me, the vendor i went to trimmed it wrong and a hole was torn by the radiator fan, not to mention they didnt bleed the system properly, a loose drain plug and a loose hose..big snafu but thats a different story..
got a random hose and trimmed it properly and its been fine since |
Hey Dave, if you need an upper hose, I have one sitting right here you can have.
|
That same thing happened to me, yup gotta trim it up!
Also have the Koyo Rad |
Trim about a quarter inch you'll fine on the top.
|
i just installed a mishi rad and didn't have to cut and there is no way my hoses are going to rub.
