Looks to be a decent deal for anyone who is thinking of upgrading their suspension.

I wish I could somehow put koni inserts in to my tein coilovers. I definitely prefer the koni ride, but I can't handle the lack of adjustability and wheel limitations of factory strut housings.
Good find anyways

not sure how much clearance you need, but i run koni inserts plus ground control sleeves. running 245 r-comps on a wagon and 600f/500r hypercoil springs with pretty much no rubbing (rolled) and excellent clearance inboard. +44 offset 17x8.
as far as adjustability goes i've got it all.

I don't think I'd ever go stiffer in spring because I'd have a hard time racing on bumpy surfaces.

it did get a wee bit bumpy on the last section of the slalom yesterday, but only on one run. i made a fairly big jump to these rates and the car felt the best it ever has yesterday... but i think my car is a good amount heavier than yours?
(btw, hi gagan, i was the guy in the red shirt, braves cap, and brake dust smeared arms yesterday that you made a comment to about just having worked on my car)

Yes, my car is 2700lbs wet and ready to race. But if you think about spring rate, even 600 lbs won't affect the car. If you have a 50/50 balance in any direction, that would be only 150lbs per corner, which, at lets say 600lb spring means only 1/4 of further compression at rest. Definitely not outrageously stiff, but I'm surprised to see that much. I'll start a thread about the autox in a few seconds for more on that.

The tire rack price gets it down to the shox.com price. This is where I buy my konis. I'll be replacing my fronts soon, so I was hoping tireracks price to be better than shox, but, looks like it's not. Might save on tax with tirerack though.

rebuilding the 8610s vs buying new inserts, it's cheaper and faster to buy new inserts. Although, this time around, I will take my fronts out and keep them to be converted to 8611s. Although, it might just be cheaper to buy them new as well. Besides, when I go 8611s someday, I can always sell my 8610s to someone.
The reason I replaced my rears outright was because one was bent from an accident.
Also, even the front work just fine, they don't work optimally, so in a motorsports scenario I would benefit from fresh shocks, whereas not so much in a street application. My fronts are in good shape so far I can tell, but their edge is gone, if you know what I mean.
