Whats up fellas, I have a buddy that has a Tactrix Cable to flash cpus and I was thinking of having him do a stage 1 on my car but I was thinking of going Stage 2 instead, so what upgrades would I need for Stage 2?
Also would anyone have a map that for Stage 1/ Stage 2 they would sell me?
Thanks.

What are you flashing? The OpenPort is just a tool to read/write to the ECU - it has no maps. Has this guy tuned, and successfully, before?

Most folks do a catless downpipe for "stage 2". You can Also do the uppipe, which in your case is catted, replacing it with a catless unit. Downpipe is pretty easy, but the uppipe can be a struggle.

I would not let anyone "tune" my car unless they knew what they where doing. Anyone can hook up a cable and reflash an ECU while blowing up your motor in a week.

I'll check to see if I still have a 2003 MT WRX map. I suggest running romraider to data log to make sure there isn't knock and keep your boost levels at the 16psi which the map is set at. I have had a similar map on my car and haven't had any issues. I've ran it for 3 years, 40k miles.
These were purchased maps that I got from a buddy.

Stage 1 and Stage 2 are “off the shelf” maps from Cobb’s website. They are used to simplify mod lists, as well as a one size fits all tunes for specific years/models. This was a bench mark starting point for many Subaru enthusiasts including myself and was a widely excepted term among the racing community. Sadly that’s not the case anymore.
