know of a shop that works with R12 freon? ???
Need to convert my 90 Toyota truck to R134. But one shop reports there are still some R12 and they don't have the stuff to suck that out...
Help...

Where about are you located? Coordinates bring up USGS quake tracking. If south bay, I'd call these guys and see if they can: http://www.yarnellstoyota.localgads.com/

Yarnell's for sure if you don't go dealership. Solid, solid people there. As far as R12, no promises but you can also just go and convert over. When we did my 4Runner I was way happier since R12 isn't allowed anymore out here and if you were to go elsewhere it costs a ton.
Yarnell's can even likely get you a conversion package deal from one of the aftermarket Cooling & A/C Suppliers.

Call the Bureau of Auto Repair, technically since the R12 is old enough you are expected to properly dispose of it be evacuation. They should have a place you can goto for that part.
Want me to try and ask around my circles I will, but no promises since I'm not at the old job with those connections and contacts.
right now, i have zero cold at all.
just got a nissan dog 3 weeks ago and we are burning up in the truck...

I wasn't sure if Yarnell could do it either, I just know they are good.
Another good place that handles Toyota is Foreign Affair in Santa Clara. Worth asking them, and if they can't, ask them if they know someone who can.
Even if you are able to dispose of the R12, I think they usually replace seals when switching to R134.
