Her is the plan for the WRX:
New turbo - not sure what (I want 325whp, what should I get?)
New Intercooler
Injectors
Fuel Pump
Cobb Access port and tune
Coil overs
Rota wheels

And that should make me happy for a while
please take "Drift" out of the keywords

I wish I had $16k for it though

325whp on a high reading dyno (like, <400hp) - 20g or vf30/34/etc on meth
325whp on a low reading dyno (like 440hp)- gt30r .82 or 18g on meth

new intercooler - go ebay, and modify the piping and custom fab a true CAI

injectors - deatschwerks, they have an exchange policy for your stock injectors http://www.deatschwerks.com/catalog/...roducts_id=128

aren't you selling the rx7 because of poor mileage?

Honestly, face it - you have two vehicles which are at best mediocre by today's standards. I love the rx7, but this car was top of the line what, 15 years ago? Neither your rx7 nor wrx will ever be fast in acceleration/handling/braking by modern standards, without a substantial investment.

I considered the nostalgia of a highly modified kill-all rx7 at one point, but when all the budgeting was planned out I sat back and realized - wait I should just buy a Viper for that money.
Ouch! The truth hurts.....

I went this route.....

When you drove by today we were surprised as we though you sold it. Question answered now

Sup Greg....glad to see your keeping the subi. Your post suggests that you were either disappointed or simply not satisfied with the RX. Anything else you would like to share

skip all that and just save for a full STi Drivetrain. This is what I should of done a long time ago.

Sell your old drivetrain to make some money back.

hmmm. so you're selling the RX-7 because of gas...

but now you're gonna pump up your wrx thus minimizing any gas adavantages it may have had over the RX-7

Not neccessarily. some guys who hella commute get great mileage with their GT35r's, cause they are almost never on boost. In that fashion having a big turbo can SAVE you gas.

The rotary just gets bad mileage PERIOD

Screw that man. You can't do that full conversion with the brembos included for less than $5-$6k when all is said and done. Maybe $3k using a 5 speed clutch, skimping, and also doing the labor yourself.

When add in the $4k for dropping in an STI longblock, you've already already arrived at the cost of an STI if you had sold your car and traded up for one.

That's not including the other "STI" stuff
