Just flashed to Stage 1 using Tactrix
yes...you build boost quicker and hold more at redline, its better than both the factory units and a MBC
I hit peak torque at 3500rpm and can hold 21psi at redline
(stock evo IX turbo)

I dont know where this rumor got started. Yes, there is a limit on the number of times flash memory can be flashed, but there are people in the Subaru community with WELL OVER 600 flashes with no problems. Most people are not going to run into any sort of limitation - so dont worry about it.

be careful, I hated my GM boost solenoid. It CLICKS all the time under no to low boost. Annoying to say the least. Got my AVC-R fixed and the Apexi 3 valve boost solenoid is good to go! It seems to let my car sppol quicker than the GM and is quiet.
Does the suby ecu report back knock sum? Evos have a built in knock sensor, so you can log knock with the logging SW out. Not real need for a dedicated knock light, for me at least, not sure about subies

hmm i wonder if subies have it. if im going to constantly be logging, then theres no point in a knocklite since i can see it on the laptop.

The subie knock sensor isn't 100% useful - there are RPM ranges in which it basically shuts off.
