Actually, the CEL indicates that a DTC is present.

What is the CEL code?

Plenty of things can trigger the ABS light, but to paint a better picture I would need to know what exactly swapped from the tranny out to the wheels?

05 sti tranny
drive shaft
r180 reardiff
all four axel
all four hubs with brembos.

im going to check my AP .. see if reseting it would help..

funny...last time I did a tranny swap I had a professional shop do the job and everything went perfectly

There was a CEL but the co-owner of the shop that was doing the swap stayed until 8:00 at night to figure it out.

put your WRX VSS and starter in. It's what is getting done to the RS.

could my ABS light be on because my brakes still need to be further bleeded?

start with the two CEL's first... then check the fluid level of the master cyl.

Chances are that since you have a 02-03 and aren't using the 02-03 VSS, the voltage is wrong. Or the resistance.

Throwing time/money at it, when you have some other codes running... might not solve the issue, kill the codes and the issue might go away.
Nasoic and RS25 had some threads on this from people and their conversions.
