Never had an STI before, looking forward to owning one and attending the local meets. Can't wait for it to arrive although it's probably going to take a while.

Here's what I paid..

Invoice price for 2012 STI Hatch is 34,873$
All Weather Mats - 39$
Security Shock Sensor - 73$
STS - 341$
Bumper Cover - 45$
Body Side Mouldings - 135$

Total Invoice: 35,506$

I paid exactly 1200$ under invoice which was 34,306$ (had to put down 500$ refundable deposit). Note, it's before TAX / TITLE and LICENSES..

I'm pretty torn about selling it (asking blue book - most likely OBO), it's a great DD and a great car overall but I only live about 2 miles away from work.. May keep it if I get low balled too much - seems like Subaru its taking a while building the 2012's..

Yep, he told me that's what he sells them for (Larry Fung).

They had a 2011 STI Hatch (Silver), and a 2011 STI Sedan(Silver - Limited) in the lot yesterday when I put the down payment and he was also selling those under invoice. I opted to order a 2012 though to give me time to sell the Fit.

I'll compare how it feels when I get the STI. I've driven my EVO 9 SE, and the EVO X quite a few times in ( Glendora Ridge Road / Glendora Mountain Road- SoCal). The X turns great (S-AYC kicking in) but you can definitely feel the weight difference between the two. My 9 felt a lot lighter, nimbler giving me more confidence.

My assumption is that the STI will feel similar to an EVO X given that it's also quite heavy but will find out.

Welcome to I-club

You'll feel in the STi you've moved up a class. The evo 9 SE is one of my top favorite evo's. Only thing that would get close to beating that is a white 9 RS.
