...They made me sign a waiver stating the shippers werent responsible for any damages in transit, but these guys are all professionals, what could possibly go wrong?

I wonder why the Mitsubishi, Nissan Patrol, and Toyota Hilux are rolling around freely like they not only didn't set the e-brakes but didn't even put the transmissions in Park or 1st.
I see a waiver being intact but I wonder further if the waiver included a release of accountability for negligence.
Unforeseeable events is one thing, Negligence is preventable.
I'll bet they left a section not properly strapped down, get a vehicle rocking a bit and the strap falls off. I know I've seen more than one flatbed or wheel-carrier let a car go loose because an idiot didn't know how to secure properly and double check.

Car Info: 2003 WRX Wagon (RIP)
The strict rules on car registration (shaken) and the culture there of not really like older cars results in very rapid depreciation of cars in Japan. An average car, after about 7 years, has a net value of about zero. It's worth nothing more than the registration, which in Japan costs about $2500 every two years. The older the car, the harder it is to pass inspection to renew the registration. Enterprising Russians travel to Japan and buy these "worthless" cars and ship back to Russia to sell. Other than the shipping cost for these cars in the video, I bet they didn't lose much money if you don't count the opportunity cost.
