I love my XTi; new glass will make a huge difference, too. Pick up a 50mm prime if you're going to be doing a lot of indoor shots, it makes it much easier with no flash.

i dont know what they used to looklike but yeah it IS HOT! its the highest grade camera i can get while still being able to fit in my pocket.
Plus canon is the only company it seems like that has fully manual modes from its bottom of the line $150 cameras all the way up
Ive heard Canons have better customer service and low turn around times for warrantied stuff compared to nikon.
(i had a big olympus digi camera but never used it because it wasnt portable without a big case)

Great Buy, I bought the exact same camera last year and have gotten so many goodies for it.. first the 28-135 IS zoom which is wonderful. and the nifty fifty. prime.. whcih is only 70 dollars shipped from b and H. I suggst you get it.. Its alot of fun and you will learn alot for the cheap prime.

Congrats on the purchase.
I bought a XT last summer and then got mad later on when I heard Canon was releasing a newer version
Anyways...sometimes I regret buying a big camera like this and going back to a point and shoot. But then I think to myself, they don't have most of the cool features our nice cameras have, so it's all good.
The stock kit lens is working pretty well for me. Does the XTi come with the same lens or an updated one?
Here's some samples by the way:

Enjoy your new camera!
