JOEBOBBUCKET's Sunday.

Yesterday I woke up early for me after spending the night out at Great America, and went out to Santana Row. I went there cause "the russian" was putting on a cooking demo that I was supposed to photograph. I told the russian that I would go cause I wanted to meet Giada De Laurentiis. So I got there a little bit early and made my was to starbucks for some coffee while I waited for everything to be setup. I people watched a bit as I like to stand back and observe how people interact with one another. I was out side the Sur La Table store and I could not beleive the huge line of people that were there waiting to meet Giada. Some people had been there since before dawn. There had to be well over 500 people there for Giada's book signing.

(first half of the line)

(second half of the line)
As I waitied around, I snapped a few pics of the general crowd and there was a rather cute baby infront of me that had a massive smile on her face. It was one of those smiles that babies get when they are dropping a bomb in their diaper. I tried to get a pic of the smile but I was to slow.

Things finally started to get underway and the stage was setup over the big chess board. There was a elivated stage with portable cook top on it. They started to get everything ready so the russian could take the stage. I snapped a pick of the Santana Row hottie that always helps us set everything up and makes sure we are taken care of.

The russian showed everyone in the crowd how to cook Safron Chicken from Giada's book.

After his demo was done Giada came out and did some Q and A with the crowd before her book signing.

WTF is she doing in this pic?

She is actually a lot shorter then I thought she would be, and I must say she is much hotter in person then on tv.

At this point I left Santana Row to go meet up with Rau at my house so we could head over to the Campbell Oktoberfest. When I got home he was sitting there waiting for me. I went in and dropped off some stuff and we walked down the block to the lightrail. Right as we go to the station the trains were comming so we paid for our tickets and hopped on. We arrived in campbell about 5 minutes later to see the large crowd that were there. We walked in and bought our tickets and got a beer. We were then waiting for two other people to show up so we continued to walk around and Rau spotted the "Threesome Wine".

We continued to walk around and enjoy all the smells and sights to be had. We walked past a gallery that was selling paintings and I thought this was pretty funny. So again I snapped a pic.

Not long after that G-Ride (Eric) met up with us and he wanted to go grab something to eat so we made our way down the side street that had all the food vendors on it. While he and Rau were grabbing a bite I saw this guy in the total spirit of Oktoberfest.
We sat down and I drank my lunch while they ate theirs, then continued to walk around for a bit while we waited for our 4th person to join us. I had my camera strap around my neck with it in front of me and I randomly snapped a few pics as we walked around. Very much a point and click kinda thing. We stumbled across two girls holding hands and two random hotties drinking beers.

Our 4th finally made it and e went to go get more tickets and to fill our cups. Once we were refilled and ready to go we continued to walk through the festivities when we spotted the hanging chairs that are so comfy. OUr 4th had to sit and enjoy a moment with the grin of "Yay I have two beers"

Welcome to Oktoberfest Ms. Abbott. Kelly saw this guys shirt earlier and wanted a picture with it "cause she liked his shirt" It was funny cause he asked why she had a photographer following her around taking pictures and where this picture was going to end up.

This was not the onl;y time someone asked why she had a photographer with her. Most of the time she would answer that she was a model and that I was the photographer and Rau and G-Ride were her body gaurds. So as we continued to walk along I snapped a few more pics and came across this woman with some modifications that have been done.

Yesterday was a great weather day. It was not to hot but it was not cold either, some might say it was one of those jsut right days. With the nice weather out come a lot of women that are barely dressed. Rau initially spotted this one that looks like she is not wearing any pants. I figured that was picture worthy...

We all walked along for a while then I saw something that I don't normally see at a street fair. Lots of people bring out their dogs and such but this guy brought his bird out.

Kelly wanted to hold the bird so she could take a couple pictures with it and the bird was more then happy to jump onto her arm and pose for a photo op. We were initially in the shade and G-Ride tried to pet the bird and he didn't like that so much so he fluffed up.

Kelly moved more into the sun and the bird calmed down. and started to pose again.

After Kelly gave the bird back to its owner we continued to the end of the street fair where we came across a woman that had a pink stroller. At first one would think that there is a little kid in there as she was with her boyfriend. But when we got closer we saw that it was a yuppie couple that had two small dogs inside this thing. I have never seen anything like this nor would I have thought something like this existed.

Right next to these people were a band that was playing for everyone. There was a rather large crowd around them so we wanted to see what was up. Upon further inspection we found a tuba player that was having a great time playing for everyone while they enjoyed the music.

We walked around for a bit longer and people watched as we walked in and out of the booths looking at the arts and crafts people bring out to sell. There were some interesting little crafts there and some beutiful paintings. Some other hand made crafty items and such. In the midsts of our travels we came across this happy little pooch who was more then happy to get some attention and have his picture taken.

As the afternoion wore on and the festivites began to shut down we continue to walk for a little bit and I snapped a couple random pics.

Rau parted was with us as he had to get home. Then G-Ride (Eric) made his way back to his car to head home. Kelly and I each went home too. It was a long but very fun day.

All in all I had a great day, hope you all had a good Sunday too.

The dogs were capable but I think they did that to be cool. Maybe cause the dogs were small and might get stepped on.

I was thinking that too. It was also a little chilly in the morning so she was more covered up then I had hoped.

He did go to culinary school but doesn't work at a restaurant. Right now he is working on getting a cooking show going. Stay tuned for another posting from me about that.

Niet. But I did have a sliver of Das Ruskie's grillin'z at the BAIC Annual BBQ/Meet this summer. Pretty scrumptious.
