IT job opening

I expect in about a week or so, I will have an IT job opening. This is not an entry level job, but you will start off doing desktop stuff to get familiar with the environment.

SAN, VMWare, MS infrastructure, pluses scripting and linux/unix.

Send me a PM and I will give more info.

Thanks for posting this to the community. I'm happy with my current job in IT, but it's great to post this especially in today's job market.

I didn't realize that we put stuff on CL. Here is the link... the salary range was off by bit, it's 78k to 98k.

Feel free to PM me with specific questions.

BTW, the title listed is a not the actual title. The actual title is Systems Engineer if it matters.

"Requires a Bachelor's degree"

Why the hell do companies put this in? You take a senior tech like me, thats been in the game 25+ years, we know the systems better than any snot nosed kid that got a degree...yet we are overlooked for some punk with 5 years in and some school teaching.

Hell I can think back to my youth, and remember when we used punch cards.

I have yet to encounter a situation where my experience is overlooked in preference of someone with less experience but happens to have a degree. To most hiring managers "Requires a degree" is accurately interpreted as "Requires a degree or X years of experience."

relax guys, it's standard verbage that most companies put in there. it's not required. and yes I agree that I will take a guy with experience than a BS, MCSE, etc. certs and a degree doesn't mean anything unless you can do the work.
