Jgtc *****
The rally games was really cool. They were charging a dollar but it was worth it. It was the Swiss Alps course from GT3. It's a lot harder when you're being bounced around and not sitting still on your couch

Yup...the Zs as well as the Supras were the loudest.
On Sunday when they were rolling out the cars and then starting them up to get to the track, I was about a foot away from the rear-left fender of the Yellow Hat YMS Supra as it started up and did a burnout as it left. It was literally painfully loud. Everyone within an arm's reach from me could do nothing but cringe. But damn was it good.

Nah, the RX7 was the loudest, but it crashed the first night of racing during the 200km race.
It came into the pits with the front left tire horizontal and suspension toast. I don't think it made it out for Sunday races.

on friday watching the practice runs into the early evening, the Cusco car had it's fronts and rears glow the brightest out of everyone who went by the turn after that huge straightaway under that bridge.
i wish i had a camera for friday to capture it. it was quite a sight.

Daniel,
Let me know what pics you want and I can send you the full res images. That is if I can get a copy of the video
I used a Nikkor 70-200 2.8 and a Nikkor 300mm 2.8 to take most of these pictures on the new Nikon D70.
yeah I took off the jdms cause I'm planning to get a Legacy GT Wagan (maybe...).

JGTC Review
Hey guys here's my review:
The JGTC was unique in that along with the racing there was a drifting competition, auto-x, karting, R/C racing, and of course the car-show and vendor booths, decorated with the requisite eye-candy. They said about 45,000 people showed up, but it didn't feel that crowded. I took a bunch of pics below to share and a funny vid or three. The race cars were pretty cool, the racing was okay - not great. I did see a couple good passes as there are two classes racing - 500hp and 300hp. But with a grid of 20 cars, it was nothing compared to an ALMS race.
I saw a lot of really cool cars. My pics don't have comments, but if you see the gray 240Z with it's hood open - it has the Sylvia 2.4l 4-cyl turbo in it (20DET?) Very cool. I saw lots of Sylvia's and 350z's and four Skylines.
Cusco and Tein had booths. The suspension shot is the Cusco display model of a WRX's suspension. I sat in some cool Recaro "Speed" model seats which are a new entry-level ($400?) sport seat with tilt adjust and great support.
The pics with the hot Japanese chick and the camera crew was really funny. This Japanese camera crew was interviewing her (she's American). They hardly spoke English and asked her: "arr uu naturallll?" regarding her appendages. She said no, and monkey-boy in the race suit went nutz in Japanese. He started gesturing towards his parts like he had a 3 foot member and saying "Natural! Natural!" It was really funny.
