Now that looks like a fun series to watch! Anyone know what's with the corner cutting?

I think like in most series there are rules if you have to cut the corner, meaning you cant use it to gain a position, take a stop and go penalty, etc..

they probably couldnt hold traction and didnt want to loose it all so they take a penalty in turn of cutting the corner?

Likely he didn't gain a penalty. It looked like he left the track and reentered in the same position. As long as it doesn't create an advantage (leaving the track and gaining a position) you're usually ok. He probably just didn't brake early enough.

Good video.

Good video.
There's another car near the end of that vid that does the same cut on the same corner but appears to jump ahead several positions... strange...

Didn't watch the whole video.

I still say it was due to carrying too much speed. If the guy gained a position then he was penalized.

Car Info: this required information?
There was a Formula BMW America's series for the past two years. The FBMW America's champion last year also won the world finale and just finished first season racing in Europe in International Formula Master. Won three races and finished 4th in the championship. He gets to test a BMW formula car later this year and has also been signed as a US F1 test driver.

That is awesome. Rarely do the American drivers excel when it comes to competing worldwide. (Who was the last American to win a GP?) Do you know this guys name?
