"which shows leaves growing on a tree when you ease off the throttle"

I want my dashboard to show seals getting clubbed at a rate proportional to throttle input.

I concur, also.. yeah. Hybrids do nothing. Electric Vehicles also don't make much sense were the electricity is made by non-renewable energy sources. Hydrogen, or a network of battery swapping stations makes more sense, but in North America we won't see it till the oil wells go dry.

edit- "If the beardies want to be local they should buy a Range Rover"

Hybrids **** me off, especially Prius's, as I live in Berkeley, hippie ville USA, they're ****ing everywhere...

WTF would you pay 30k+ for a POS Prius that gets the same MPG as a Geo metro that costs 1/30th, not only are you not polluting the world with hazmat worthy batteries, but you'd be recycling.

Ecotards make me want to punch babies.

+1 on clubbing seals proportional to throttle.

srsly. self-righteous hybrid drivers are funny - they aren't doing the environment a favor or anything, because you're still driving a car. It's like, instead of smoking two packs a day, I'll just cut back to 1.5 packs a day - that will surely prevent cancer.
