when doing a leak down test the cylinder you are testing must be on top dead center which will assure the valves are completely closed sometimes you need someone to hold the crank bolt so it does not try to turn when you apply the air pressure in the cylinder, if the valves are even slightly open you will get a false reading.

My JDMRacingMotors Review - NASIOC

i did my best unbiased representation on my experience with this review.

i want to know if there was anything i could have done differently? the decision to rebuild the motor, to not send the motor back initially, etc.

I would have made the supplier pay for the R&R if it was bad and he insisted on you installing to check to see if it was bad.

what do you folks think of the carbon buildup? is this normal on a used motor?

will the carbon buildup be cleaner after driving?
