Are you staying in Osaka/Kansai only? There's some nice car parts shops around there. Night life is great in Osaka too. Dotonbori, Amerikamura, Osaka Tower, etc. And follow Necromancer's advice: There's a dealie from the Japanese government called Yokoso Japan where they're trying to promote tourism. See if you can a deal of some sort via this program.
