Very PUNny.
You can use the Sound Recorder built into Windows to do it. Simply load the file, play the track, select the time where you want to splice. Save as and your all set

If you have iTunes, set where the songs start and end and encode for each one once the markers for start and end are set. That's how I chop my loops for ringtones or "mAkin' dA SLaP BeATz yO".

you can split them up in nero. i believe there's an audio edit function that you can use, set the markers and split for every 5 min. right click on the file, should come up.
why not just make a custom .cue file in notepad and just set your markers there? load it up in nero and there you go. if you want you can just customize your track times and names for cd-text from there.
TITLE "dj mix 3000" (cd-text, enter if u want it to display)
PERFORMER "awesome dj" (cd-text)
FILE "c:\file dir\filename.mp3" MP3 (If it's a .wav file use WAVE)
TRACK 01 AUDIO
TITLE "awesome song" (cd-text)
PERFORMER "awesome artist" (cd-text)
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
TITLE "awesome song"
PERFORMER "awesome artist"
INDEX 01 00:05:00
TRACK 03 AUDIO
TITLE "awesome song"
PERFORMER "awesome artist"
INDEX 01 00:10:00
and so on

I can get to the editor in Nero and have been screwing with it but i cant figure out how to add breaks in the large track. I also downloaded Audacity but it doesnt have any function there either that makes it clear how to do it. Ive tried googling this and come up with nothing, I really thought this would be alot easier haha

It's pretty easy with Audacity, but there's a learning curve with any new software. I just found Audacity much easier to get over the curve with than other audio software as it was fairly intuitive.
