It's official.... My tranny is toasted…BIG TIME
As some of you may know my 111k OBS tranny had a tooth missing in third gear. Needless to say, third gear made a little noise.
Well, I drove the car up to the shop tonight so I can swap me out a new tranny. I hadn't been in Navato more than 5 minutes and about 800 yards from the shop KAAAABOOOOOOM!!!!!!
An officer saw me with my hazards on and we told him what happened. He laughed and got behind us to gently push us to the shop. All the while he pushed you could hear more grenades going off in my tranny. The officer commented over the bullhorn, “I am no mechanic, but I think that sounds pretty bad”. It was pretty funny.
Now, it's time for the OBS to undergo more surgery.

Oh yeah.. DCCD... drool!
Man, I love stories like that. Because far too often its just the opposite. Murhpy will rip something off your car, not 800 yards from the shop... but 100 miles away in the middle of nowhere and aim it through the seat and up your ***. I'm glad things worked so well... and you even found a cool cop!

Yeah yeah yeah... I can hear the chants, "RA tranny!" RA tranny!" all the way from Hayward
Unfortunately, I can buy four 2.2 trannies for the cost of one RA dccd tranny.
Trust me, I really would like to plunk down the moola for the RA, but I am saving for another project
