if you wanna delete songs off your ipod just go into i-tunes, then click the ipod tab on the left side of the screen. that should give you a list off all the songs on your ipod. then you can just highlight the ones you want gone and drag n' drop them in the trash bin.

if you wanna delete the whole thing put in the disk the ipod came with and there should be an option on the screen that comes up that says reset ipod to original settings or something like that. just click it and it will completely wipe the ipod hard drive just like new.

I have a question for iTunes... say you have all your stuff as mp3s, you add thte folder to the library, then you go and change the MP3's ID tag.

The information in iTunes is not updated or refreshed. Is there anyway to refresh the info? Right now I clear it out and re-add the folder everytime to update the info.

Your songs are greyed out because it's on auto-update. Edit your Preferences, click on iPod, and check "Manually update iPod", then you'll be able to delete anything you want.

Do you guys have a lot of problems with your Ipod? This is my third Ipod since the old onces kept giving me problems like freezing, deleting all my files, or continues to retart itself over and over non-stop. I've never dropped the stupid thing and yet it keeps giving me problems. I've had to bring it back to apple and since they couldn't fix it, they had to give me a brand new one. Haha maybe it's just my luck or the stupid thing just really sucks. I just bought my Ipod not too long ago and a month or two later Apple came out with the ipod color screen, i-shuffle, and now the Ipod nano. Makes me feel outdated again. =\ *&@!*&^&!!*^!@*&!^!
