how do you find the IP addresses of people that post on message boards? I've seen people post that so and so IP address posted this message or whatever, but don't see where you are finding that. Can anyone help?

As far as I know, on message boards only the mods can check what IPs have been used.

 

With Vbulletn it depends how the permissions are set up. By default mods and admins see a little IP thingy in the corner of each post. General members have no need to see IPs, that's a security risk. Why do you need them?

 

the sneaky thing to do would send them a pm with a hyperlink to a webserver that u control. you can get their ip from the web logs. </html thug>
