Installing Schroth Quick Fit, need help!

I'm having trouble installing the rear receptacle piece.

When you are standing at the back of your car facing the front, looking down on that seat belt bracket, should the eye bolt go to the left side or the right side of the stock belt bracket?

When I torque the bolt the eye bolt spins if it's on the right side? Is that wrong? Directions are crap.

thanks

Mine is on top of the stock bracket. I held it forward till it stopped moving then torqued it down.

Ok thanks. Yeah mine is on top as well.

You have the choice of turning the eye bolt to the right side of the bracket lip or the left. If you do the right side the eye bolt spins like you say and must be held, but if you do it on the other side once it gets tighter it hits the seat belt bracket and won't turn since you are cranking right. Does it matter which side?

Why do I think you turn it 180? because another member told me that.

Why am I using it? Clearly if you are asking that you have never tried one. Easily arguably it's a far better mod than buying exhaust etc, as it's much easier and safer to drive fast with. Once you try it, not only are your knee's thanking you, controlling the car is much easier, but you will feels sad for your passengers. It's a schroth quick fit, made for street cars specifically, for people who don't want bars/cages. Also the entire thing comes in the exactly same motion as you unbuckling your seatbelt twice, ~15 seconds. great mod, steroid fueled rocketships need harnesses period.

Lol, I was joking, but I know exactly what you're saying but did not like the way the harness took up space or daily drivability.

Nothing sucks more than sliding in your seat, fighting your car, while your car's fighting the road lol.

Thank you, yea I just can't figure out in the 2 pictures which is right. The one showing how to bend bracket (small pic) shows it the way it is in my picture. The (big) photo next to it with torque wrench in use shows it 180 degrees from that way. So I just wanted to be super safe.

Did you try the quick fit tho? It just pops out since it ur plugs into ur factory receptacles. And if you want to just use regular seatbelt you don't even need to bother unbuckling the 2 receptacles.

Unfortunately they only fit 05 sti, well the only difference in 06 is the front receptacle. I realized on the harness u just slide off the buckle, and slide on the same piece from 2006 wrecked. Other people trim the thing, but that seems funky.

No I haven't unfortunately. the first location is correct although if you simply took a dremel cutoff wheel to the middle of it, I believe it will have much better fitment and function w/ less stress.

It comes with 2 of those silver/blue doohickeys in the picture, one install on the left most rear seatbelt bolt i the rear (facing front of car from back), and one on the front driverseatbelt bolt. The harness then has things, 2 receptacles that plug into those short "doohickeys", and 2 belt buckles attached that plug into the center stock seat belt receptacle, and the other into the front stock seat receptacle, and boom harness that can be unclipped with 4 seatbelt "unclicks" same as unbuckling your belt 4 times takes 15 seconds. Or you can just push it to the side and use your regular belt. Coolest thing ever
