You're in San Jose, try giving Speed Element a call!

If you can't...
...warm up your car and drive it more than 10 miles, then Speed Element is your place. If you want the job done, done right, and done right the first time, then I'd suggest you visit a little shop in Novato, CA.
LIC Motorsports | Subaru service and repair serving Marin and Sonoma counties Adam knows more than Subaru (Fuji Heavy Industries) about Subaru, and for my time and money, is one of only two shops in the United States I can say that about. |
I have 4 basic subie shops I use in the bay area. both of your jobs are pretty simple, I would trust any of these guys to do the work

LIC is great, but if you want a shop that isn't as far but is the same quality, and care, you go visit Mert at RBMS Auto.
Personal opinion I wouldn't go to SE or AH but that is strictly a personal opinion and not given as fact. |

As an example, ask him the peak, average and minimum block pressure a forced induction Subaru runs through it's cooling system, or the drag co-efficient number for a 08 STI front end and I bet he can't tell you. However FHI can! (Actually FHI will respond with a question back for each before answering) The only reason I wrote this is the OP is looking for shifter bushings installed not exactly rocket science so pretty much anyone that's worked on a Subaru before should be more than capable! |
Since you're in San Jose I would suggest Speed Element. Great shop and good prices.

Auto HQ in Mountain view for the south bay.
|
speed element!
|
yea since you're already in SJ might as well go to speedelement.
|
Garage1 does clean job! My vote is Garage1 if a SJ shop is needed.

Awesome!! thanks for your input guys! will definitely be keeping a list of all these shops to use! and the shop doesn't have to be just in sj ^ could go all the way to SF if needed! lol like i used Gt auto concepts, then yesterday i met some reps from FFtec motorsports! but i will keep an open mind about all the shops and check them all out!
|
did someone say FFTEC? please don't...
|
Why not just diy? Those are really easy to do.

I'm not sure FFTEC does Subarus. It's mostly EVO's shop. |
