HEY GUYS! N00b here (just to this forum Not n00b to soobs) I post on nasioc. A guy mentioned to me to post this thread here too...


I am going to try and get something here in Redding on a sunday.
I have a 4 bay shop. I think it would be cool to have a BBQ and get a bunch of you guys down here to work on your cars... The rules are.. 9:00- 9:00, Cars can not stay (you must bring all parts. So make sure they are right) I have over 50K worth of personal tools. Plus 4 Racks Plus shop tools...
I want to see some RSVP's and we'll decide on a date!
Everything Will be free.... I only ask for a few bucks from you guys to help with the BBQ!!!



I would atleast like to get about 10 cars down for the day! Then we can decide a date...
It will be at my shop in Redding

I'll have the rally car down!

I would only like upgrades. No maintance or services No timing belts, or flushes.
Unless the modd requires it... (like taking off drive belts for pulley or new clutch/ flywheel.. Brake upgrades only. (Rotors, calipers Pads, lines... Require flushing)

I just don't want a bunch of people comming down fixing thier cars to save a buck..
(You can make an appointment for that at a later date.....)

Suspension upgrades (coil overs, endlinks, sways, arms, etc.)

Batterys
Spray kits
Any fabrication of small parts

Clutches/ trannys (only upgraded.. Performance clutch/flywheel, RA Tranny, Dog Box)
Really any moddifications....

wuu .. i'm thinking of installing springs on my sti struts ... how far is your shop from the bay? .... and how hot is it over there ><

No belts or anything but you accept...batteries? Am I thinking of the wrong type of battery?

 

well I think he means more on the lines of battery relocation, or a bending some metal to make a bracket for mounting a lightweight.

I mean you get the point, just don't want idiots going and asking people to do their 30k service for free.

 

Speaking of install days...

Is anyone thinking of having one in the bay. I would love to attend one just to watch and learn new stuff.

This is one of the coolest things that has ever happened in Redding. Even though that's not saying much. I'm originally from Anderson and am excited about this even though I don't have anything to install myself.

Where's your shop located?

Give yourselves about 3 1/2 hours to get there from SF. It's about 200 miles I think.
