Agreed. BUT I think when Hammond slips up and mentions his car being named oliver and James and Jeremy catch him, is the best part, that anytime Hammond talks about oliver lol

couldn't stop laughing. I think it is the best episode yet

He gets an R8 in 8 weeks and says he'll let me drive that....can't wait
Finally I got a drive of my friends Audi R8..and Wow, it was quick, I took it for a pasting along my favourite twisties (Sharp Park Road, Route 1) and I am really impressed. It is the same motor as the RS4 but felt a lot quicker.

I'll post some piccies later..

I couldn't believe he let me drive it at all! Funny thing was how light the clutch is..really took some time to get used to. I left the stability control on but put the suspension in sports mode.

You better post them pics! lol!

I drove a neighbors RS4 with Statis Ohlins up Sharp Park Rd. and onto 280, floored it to a buck twenty, and it felt like getting up to 70 in my Rex. It was really fast and very smooth torque band. I know there are faster STI's and Evo's, but the quality is quite a bit nicer. I wouldn't mind this as my family car, and still have the capability to be the weekend warrior!

That R8 must be a whole other beast! Can't wait to see your pics Glen!

He told me about it, he'll get one if he can part with his 911 Turbo, RS4, CLS, or R8....

He loves his R8 so much he wants the V10.

What a car though, as easy to drive as a ford focus, but such power and a beautiful sound right behind you. This was my first time in a mid-engine so I didn't go maximum attack. And the brakes....I could go on and on how much i liked it.

We had an M5 following us on the 380 to 280 junction and all 3 lanes were clear so I cornered with a really nice line...the M5 fell way back then got straight back up my **** as soon as we got to the freeway...it felt SO good giving an M5 a slapping

I almost felt embarrassed offering to let him drive mine afterwards...hopefully he'll bring it to AutoX next time we're at the stick.

Gus, I know what you mean about looking down at the clock and doing 120 and it feels like only 70 in the scooby. These rich-boy cars are something else, one day...sigh...one day.
