Alright about 2 days ago i came home and saw 2 birds on my lawn. One was dead lying down and the other was standing over it and trembling like mad. When you go up to it the bird doesnt even move you can just see it shake and breathe. It stood in the same place all night and when i woke up in the morning to go to school it was still standing there. My dad threw the dead one away but the one that is still alive was still there. Since it survived the night it still has a chance. So we put it in a box and towels to keep it from freezing to death at night. It got pretty cold the other night. I was wondering where i could take it to get treated or something before its too late. Its just been standing there for 2 days now. I really want to help it, and if it dies ill feel pretty bad because i could of done something about it.

On weekends, not sure exactly who I would call. A vet might cost quite a bit of money to check the bird out. On a weekday, I'd call the SPCA first, then the Humane Society. Heck, I guess you could try calling both of those agencies on a weekend, too.
The remaining bird may not survive long no matter what you try to do for it. I've seen this before, although not to this extent. It's heartbroken.
You're and your dad are doing a very kind thing by trying to keep the bird comfortable. Hope things work out.

call the police. their animal control will know what to do.
i know a friend at work who does bird rescues. dang...
but good for you. call me getting old, but i just cant kill an animal without reason. even when i find an ant crawling on my arm or something, i would gently pick it off and put down on the counter or something...
give it some water and some bird seeds or something...
