Let's start the year off right. Weather permitting, it starts 8:00 AM according to thier website. I might be able to go and wanted to see who else might be able to make it.

I'm not sure how to post a link so here's a copy of webpage:
Hangover Bracket Drags on New Year's Day Kick Off New Season at Infineon Raceway
SONOMA, Calif. - Infineon Raceway will kick off the new year with a bang on Jan. 1 with the Hangover Bracket Drags on the quarter-mile drag strip.
There will be bracket drag racing in six categories on the lightning-quick quarter-mile drag strip: High School, Trophy, Street, Motorcycle, Sportsman and Pro. Gates open at 8 a.m., with the racing spanning from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Admission for spectators is $15, while cost for competitors is as follows: High School and Trophy ($20); Street or Motorcycle ($40); Sportsman or Pro ($50).
This will mark the first of nine stand-alone bracket-drag events on the 2003 calendar at Infineon Raceway. Other events are scheduled for:
January 26
February 17 and 23
May 26
June 14
September 1
November 2 and 30
For more information, please call 800-870-RACE.
I'm sure we would most fall into the street catagory.

Russel, where were you yesterday? I went up to sears point yesterday and you didn't show up. Anyways, there were over 200 cars there before 8:30 in the morning. I got 2 practice runs, and broke out in the first round of eliminations. But I finally made it into the 13's. With a 13.90 dial in, I ran the following:
60ft 1.923
330ft 5.733
1/8 8.897
MPH 76.90
1000 11.597
1/4 13.888
MPH 97.26
I was sooooo happy yesterday. Only a few of you knew how long it took me to get into the 13's.

I doubt either of my cars could touch 14 seconds, so I'm not too keen on that...
