"Subaru is about to embark on an extreme plan to switch the Impreza into a 3- or 5-door hatchback. The new car (which will be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2007) will go on sale in Europe i n the spring of 2008. Part of Subaru's goal with the new car is to improve the Impreza upmarket, though it remains to be seen whether this plan will work in the hatchback-unfriendly U.S.... Subaru's goal to reach new clientele is shown by the benchmark they are using for interior style and quality - Audi's A3."

So who want's to go to the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show with me?

 

It would be even better yet if they came out with a hatchback STI.

Well considering the STi is an Impreza I would say your wishes are about to come true.

 

i'll be in japan for school in year and next.. where and when is the auto show and how do i get tickets? i'll go with u .. lol

 

I think a three door hatch back would be cool. But isn't a four door hatch back just a smaller wagon??

 

I never could understand why some cars were considered hatches if they had four front doors. I love the space in my wagon currently. Hope it isn't too much smaller.

 

hmm, I think we better go to the show to confirm this, might do us well to swing through HK while were out there, just for good measure
