There's a shop on San Bruno Ave in SF. I think it's called Speed Zone. They do pretty good work. My friend got his wrx tinted there.
Of course, there's Omega but that's probably out of your driving range.

I just went to Mach III yesterday. Joe tinted my car, and truly is an excellent guy. He spent at least 20o minutes just BSing about my car, talking about the easy and hard parts, aftermarket parts, etc. He was friendly, and unlike MANY car people, didn't mumble
.
He pulled out a bunch of film samples and held them up, showed me a customer's car, etc. I would HIGHLY recommend him - they are in the sunset along the K line. I would definitly go back., but I wont have to because the tint job he did is awesome. I ended up doing 50% on the front and 35% on the rears.

Yeah, I thought about going to omega, but its a really long drive from the city. He also doesn't work saturdays, and I have to be at work during the week and cant afford to go pick up my car in the middle of the day. So while I'm sure that vincent does great work, he limits himself by not working on cars on saturday and not being open to drop off a car early in the morning/later in the evening (9-5 hours).
a buddy of mine used a place in livermore called rocky mountain window tint.
they did an amazing job on his car! its perfectly smooth no bubbles. i think they give you this guarentee, no bubbles for the first 2 years (or something like that) or your money back! the place is pretty pricey tho but they do top-notch work.
i would check that place out, it might be a bit of a drive for you, worth it though.

Omega Tintwerks in Pleasanton. Ask for Vince. Great shop. He did 2 clear bras and tinted 2 cars for me. Ask for the i-Club pricing.
20% tint is great... I have it on my car. Got pulled over for it once a week after I got it, but now everyone seems cool with it about six months later... no more encounters. 35% is still dark enough to be comfortable but a little less obvious to LEO's (law enforcement officers
). However, 50% is way too light to be effective, but my mom seems to like it on her Prius.

yep Vince is the man. Amazing work and service and he's a great guy. He also gives awesome prices to i-club members. I believe I paid $165 for a sedan about a year ago.

on my 3000GT i have 20% tint all around except for the windsheild.
20% is pretty dark and may give you attention from the cops, but since light is still coming in fron the front windsheild it seems to 'soften' the tint on the front side windows and they look like 30% almost.
I went to vince but he was busy like crazy so he directed me to his brother's shop in Concord on Monument blvd (they both are family owned businesses) and i got my 3000GT tinted for $180 which is pretty good becuase my windows are curved - which makes it WAY harder to apply tint
hope this helps

professionals don't get bubbles. if it doesn't bubble in the first few days its not going to at all aslong as they use quality tint. on cars with the radio antenna in the window stay away from the reflective tints they have metal in them and cuts down on radio reception 3m is one of the better tints available.
