Hey there ladies and gents...
I just bought my first Subie (00 Impreza Outback Sport Wagon)and am thrilled with it. Of course it isn't a WRX and could use a little more power ect... but this car has some potential.
A little about me:
27 years old, lived in the Bay Area most of my life.
I have worked in the automotive aftermarket biz for the last 7 years, I currently work for Speed Merchant in San Jose. Most of my expertise is with American cars (Vettes / Camaros) but I also spent some time Auto Xing with an A1 GTI.
The Impreza is more of a daily driver for me than anything - my real monster is a CP '71 Camaro (500HP, 1+ G's on the skidpad). But I do love goin fast, so I am already planning some serious chassis mods for the Subie.
Looking foreward to chatting with ya'll
Brett
PS I'll try not to talk about the shop too often... I hate guys who go online to ***** out parts

Why did I choose the Suburu... Well I just sold my previous daily driver, a '95 Firebird V8 M/T. The car was fun but got crappy gas milage and didn't hold much stuff.
I work as a professional musician, so I need a hatchback to move gear around.
I always have liked subies, going back to the mid 80's. I decided a Impreza hatchback was a nice way to go. The WRX seems like more fun, but I can't afford one.
The car feels very similar to my old FSP GTI and that's a good thing.
As far as Horsepower junkies go... I should take ya'll for a ride in my Camaro... it makes 400+ ft/lbs of torque from 2200-7000RPM and nearly 500HP@6000...
