live at Cuarto. they are off campus and have their own "private" lot...that would be a good solution. I'm sure that Cuarto's popularity as a dorm has skyrocketed since they ended the U permit.

or that too! are you gonna make sure his car is there (i.e. not towed) on an everyday basis or do you live at a house?

Hmm, I haev the same problem, well not exactly. I might get a wrx for graduation/college cuz the car im driving now cant take the highways and its breaking down. So I thought I could get a parking spot the first year i go to college, (btw im going to Davis next year), and i hear epople say yeah most freshmen dont drive because they live so close to the campus but you can still get a permit for 400 dollars, and i was thikning tahts a good idea cuz i want the car to go places outside of school and come home and stuff, but im reconsidering buying the wrx because the 06 is coming out and its hella hard to find parking? i guess ill just not have a car the first year...and yes i am living in the dorms for sure.

i would recommend just gettin a nice 4k or 5k car (unless ur filthy rich). i sometimes think about how i would be just as happy if i had just gotten a decent used can and invested 2gs into it.

park off campus until you find a job position that is consider to be university staff. they still won't give you an A/B/C permit, but you can get a R permit. check out the TAPS office for lottery for parking permit. Seems like no one sign-up for it or something. I alway get it when I sign-up for the lottery. Good luck!

resident advisor or somehing, basically the boss of the dorm rooms...i think they like...enforce the rules, and uh...dont u have a wrx? i mean..if my parents can afford it...then yeah im gonna get it, because the wrx is my all time favorite car, and im not just saying this like a lot of people...i joined nasioc on sep 2002, and i browsed it a year earlier...ive been hanging around these boards since forever...for a long long time, i just love the wrx more than anything, if my parents offered me a bmw, lexus, infinit TL or whatever, id pick the wrx or sti over it...if someone offered me a 240 mercedes, its the wrx, id pick this car over a twin turbo supra or a twin turbo rx-7, i love this car THAT much, so if i have a chance to get it..im going to take it. im going to look into getting a parking spot at davis.

Sorry actually I just remembered I'm probably graduating before next year, but if youre going to UCD you really dont need the car at all unless you want to go home at which point I guess you could take a bus or something (I wasnt there as a freshman so what do I know).

Anyway Mike, I told you there would be some baby nuts. Look 2 already!
