i'm freakin out... maannnn
okay, im not panicing but... theres something wrong with my car...
Today it was raining kinda hard.. and just commutiing to school and work I noticed that when i was Stopped that my car started billowing out steam from my hood scoop. It smelled like it had to do with the radiator, but when i popped the there weren't any signs that it had to do with the radiator, but the smell.... I checked the reserve tank, and it was very low.. I let my car cool down enough to check the main rez and it's full.. I dont see any anti-freeze anywhere and my car wasn't 'overheating' according the the engine temp guage. But my whole garage smells like ... burnt ****... so i have NO idea...
I read a post back a while ago saying how subby owners need this special anti-freeze, what is it.. and where do i find it?
Also, I went FMIC and the hood scoop lets water in my engine bay... is this okay?
any help would be appreciated

are you running the plastic tray under the headers? when water splashes on them steam comes out of the scoop, it will smell like whatever last was spilt on them, like coolant

steam comes out of my scoop alot in the rain too
the water gets in and on the intercooler and drips on to the turbo its no big deal
also if you dont have your lower splash panel on water is getting on the exhaust and the steam rises up through the scoop.

CHECK YOUR TOP COOLANT BY THE TURBO. All my systems checked out except that one. I was heating up under load and that res was like half gal low! I had smoke come out my scoop, but only because it was burning off coolant I spilled. Do you have an aftermarket temp gauge or are you going y the stock one?
