Toughie.

Sizzler has some really good clam chowder, chicken wings, and cheesy bread.

Ihop has breakfast 24/7, hash browns, sausage omelettes, pancakes, etc.

The 3 reasons I go to sizzler...
1. Clam chowder
2. Cheese bread
3. Ice cream all I can eat

IHop
1. Chicken fried steak w/ gravy and a stack of pancakes with all 4 syrups on top of the pancakes

Not sure about the buffet, but you always had the option of ordering from the counter or choosing the buffet in the past.

Granted, my friends and I did try Sizzler a couple years ago for lunch. Wow what a rip off for some of the items. Granted it seems like a lot of places are overcharging for portions that are too small now (like Baker's Square). If I'm going to end up having to pay something like $11-$15+ for a meal I want to leave the place without still being hungry. For that kind of pricing, I also do not want to see a larger portion of the plate vs the food on the plate when I'm ordering a burger & fries. I'm seeing a lot more places lately where the prices are going up & the portion sizes are going down. I guess these restaurants are trying to take advantage of all their customers, but what they seem to be failing to realize is that it's turning business away. Sure you got them in the door 1 time, but how much repeat business are they really getting?

Sizzler, no doubt. Id just eat salad bar and all you can eat shrimp for the rest of my life.

Ihop is straight nasty.

Although, if we can choose between any crappy chain restaurant, Id take Red Lobster in a minute.

I'm with Ihop too. Breakfast food is my comfort food.

Omlettes and pancakes ftw!

But I do feel like Sizzler has higher 'quality' ingredients such as seafood, chowder, fatter steaks, etc.
