Then take your Subaru sometime on "Morgan Territory Road" from Marsh Creek Road in Clayton, to Manning Road/Highland Road between Tassajara and Livermore outskirts.
Drive this road at your own risk. It is very dangerous, and is mostly a one-lane road (not one lane in either direction), and half of it is rough, where it goes through the trees.
If you are going from Clayton, then at the end the road T's at Manning Road.
If you turn right onto Manning, you can either take Manning to Collier Canyon to Highland to Tassajara Road in unincorporated Danville, or you can take Highland directly to Tassajara Rd.
If you turn left onto Manning, it will eventually turn into N. Livermore Avenue, and take you by I-580 on your way into Livermore.
I don't recommend driving this road at night, as crazy motorcyclists (I used to be one!) ride it often at night, as do equally crazy muscle car and import car enthusiasts.

Morgan Territory Rd sucks, way too narrow cant see anything around most of the corners, never been all the way down the backside though, but coming up from Livermore just sucks. Manning/Highland/Collier Canyon is pretty good short drive if you don't get stuck behind someone.

This is why the subject line says: "If you like to risk your life"...
The WRX handles the rough stuff well, which is why I posted this.

highland road is not dangerous at all...well imho, i drive it all the time, there's two parts i'd worry about going fast, cuz they are sudden dips in the road which can throw you off...other than that highland road is a fairly moderate road, fun to drive if there's no one in front of you.
