If someone were to geg a domain name for the BAIC crew would you?

*Theroretically speaking* Excuse me if this is too rude and I will be ok with the deletion.

Would you sign up and post at least once? Maybe a forum where you can speak candidly and use explatives?

I am just curious if this bothers anyone besides me or if I am just blowing it all out of proportion?

TIA

I don't ****ing care.

In all seriousness, you can curse here, it's just parsed out. **** you is still pretty clear, isn't it? We have word filters so people can hit the site at work, etc; lots of workplaces do content filtering, etc. We take away the filters and a lot of people can't hit the site for a large part of the day.

No, just seeing if this bothers people or if I am being retarded. It's not like I need to cuss, it just erks me we could use our own discretion (sp?) before and now we are all getting warings. It's not like we are trying to break rules, just a "bad" habbit if you will.

This place has seriously been so laid back and awesome it just makes my butt pucker that we can't express ourselfs freely anymore. To top it off it was a "corporate decsion". Like I said if this is out of line I understand.

LoL, I guess I have to understand that part. That being said I could help anyone out with a proxy site to bypass such filtering.

Thing is, you'd only get a warning when trying to *bypass* the swear filter. Why not just curse normally, and spell it correctly, and avoid any issues?

You're not "out of line" to make suggestions; it's not a dictatorship or anything like that. I know we've brought this up before, but these rules have always existed, we're just starting to abide by them a bit more becuase we can't be selective about what we turn a blind eye to and still be impartial.

I guess that is just my perception and the reason I am trying to get a litmus for how others are feeling.

Not understanding the need to curse. The "******" doesn't get the point accross? I know most of us are grown ups and use grown up words, but as far as this forum goes, is there that much of a demand to read "mother****ing ***got *****es" without the astricks to really make a point?

It's like I said before, I don't try to bypass the filter I guess I am just used to typing swear words with alternative spellings.

It's not like I want to string together a sentence of pure explatives to get my point across. Like I said before it's done purely out of habbit and we are getting warnings for them. I don't know why it gets under my skin so much to be honest, but seeing a bunch of ***** on a page turns me off to reading it. It just seems like something that still needs overlooking. If it gets out of hand I understand it but we are pretty good here about policing ourselfs.

thanks for being cool about it all.

It was tried for much the same reasons about 3 or 4 years ago, obviously that site didn't work out. But you are more than welcome to try!

Also, the letters/Words of BAIC (Bay Area Impreza Chapter/Club) that was used for that site ended up making Alex feel insulted and upset. He felt as if an intergral portion of this site (or when both sites were still one site) was basically stolen and used without his permission.

I don't think such a response will happen nowadays though.

If I were to even try to create a forum I would def make the naming convention different than that of the "BAIC". To nail a whole forum down to one small geographic location would be cutting ones user base off before it started.

I have mad respect for i-club but this is something that honestly bothers me. We are adults, not children. If people can't view this forum at work there is a reason for it (loss in company productivity) so taking away the swear words doesn't "fix" that problem.

Someone tried in the past. www.baic.net . This was around the time of "the split". It was unsuccessful.
