IDP Racing at Gorman Ridge Rally (now with PICS!)
Hey folks,
The IDP crew will be down in LA this weekend contesting the Gorman Ridge Rally. The roads are always rough, and the weather is always hot at Gorman so this will be a war of attrition. We're aiming high for this rally and we'll post up some war stories when we get back.

If this is the Gorman I'm thinking of located right off the grapevine, your gonna be seing a lot of blackened hills too. When I drove through it last Monday I could still see the fire(s) from the road. Anyways good luck in your rally.

Yeah, apparently there was a big grass fire across the highway from the Hungry Valley ORV park where we'll be running about half the stages.
Pete - bummer dude. My 240 should be done soon so I'll be up for NorCal road rallying in the 240!

Update: Sitting in the hotel room, we got here safe, cleared tech so things are so far so good. Wish us good luck, nothing breaks and pray for safety. More updates tomorrow night and pics at the end of the weekend. By the way we also were awarded at check-in trophies from Rim of the World Rally, we finished 5th in our class. IDP FTW!

So we've made it back in one piece to the bay. We finished fifth overall and fourth in Open 4wd.
What a great rally.
Big thanks to Moike for calling the notes, and Dodgy, Greg and Aaron for helping out with the servicing. We'll be back in action before you know it!
