It's in the hip action, planting your heel, and spreading the weight out on the ball of the foot when you roll forward. Stand up straight, keep your shoulders back, and practice.

 

Yeah, it took me a while to master them.. My biggest problem was with the thigh-high zipper boots with the really tall heels... They constrict your ankle and knee to where it's hard to balance, especially when you're really tall.
