I went through this before. Unless he paid for it and got ripped off theres not much he can do but leave bad feedback for flaking on the auction.

I ****ING HATE E_BAY.
that is the stupidest damn place to buy a vehicle. My friend got hosed. Bought a classic car that the guy advertised as the real deal. Not sure which one...a mopar. Turned out to be a clone. Couldn't track the guy down.
I refuse to deal with EBAY. It's suppose to be all safe but they work both sides of the system as they also own PayPal. Which I don't like working with either. I know a few people that have gotten screwed in the last 2 months between those 2.....one guy got $1400 locked up in paypal that had NOTHING to do with the transaction....a transaction that UPS screwed up.
I'd file a complaint against the guy with ebay. Make sure it goes on his seller record. But buying from ebay is just like buying anywhere else. Money talks. Someone else offered more money. Notice the 1 bid 1 sale. Went to that guy. People can choose whether to be *** holes or not. Only difference is, in real life on a local scale the seller has to deal with you face to face...little more difficult to screw around with someone. And you can whoop his *** if the situation calls for it.
when I do internet deals I'm a real bastard man. I get phone numbers...addresses. I confirm them. If I get screwed i got no problems jumping on a plane and knocking on a door.

you guys should use an escrow service.
this is like a lot of money.
If I was you I would post negative feed back and point to the old auction.
Regards
Nick

I have a friend who bought his Benz on Ebay - AMG SLK - great price from a woman in Florida. That said, it really is buyer beware on Ebay, I've had my run ins too.

I mean check the person's previous feedback. If they sold 50 cent stuf for ever and now they are selling a $35k car it may be a reason to be concerned. Just talk to the seller. If something is fishy do not bid. I laways see those new bikes for a lot less than new. But they are located int he UK. But someone was describing how they stiff you and you never get the bike and lose the money. I would be carefull.
This one should be pretty close. I would go to the seller to check the car. Now if the car is in FL then it becomes more complicated.
Do a search for "ebay escrow service".
Just be carefull.
Cheers
