Don't let ignorant knee-jerk categorization protect you from stuff that's funny!
But I guess that's a safe plan... Lump people into categories so you don't have to bother being worried about what they might say... If he's a "braindead Liberal douchebag" then that automatically negates anything he could possibly say. Even if it makes sense! Funny how that works... Or sad rather.
