watermark, watermark, watermark... both visible and INVISIBLE...
remember, the web is a big PUBLIC space...
actually for pixs, check out
www.pbase.com
that's nothing but a big hosting site for pictures. lots of pros use it.
then just buy a domain name and have it point to your account there...

Everyone saying you can't ever fully protect pictures is correct. I've seen all kinds of crazy ideas and implementations to try and stop people from stealing your stuff, but if you're going to show them a picture there is always a way to take it. The digital watermark idea is pretty much the only way to truly protect your stuff from someone making money with you pic. If you find your stuff on a site that makes cash for something, then you could potentially sue them for money. Other than that everything else is just to hassle people who don't know what they're doing.
It's like cd copy protection. There is always a way around it, you just want to do enough to make it not worth most people's time.

I also have the same copyright concerns because I'm creating a website for my photography business. I've been advised to do the watermarks, but I've also read about putting a semi-transparent copy on top of the photo so that when they do the "right click" all they get is the semi-transparency. This is the website where I found that information. http://www.wildlifephoto.net/article...rotection.html
Good luck.
