I now know why I moved...
Just thought I'd let all those still in cali know that I just passed smog with helix UP/DP and a homemade adapter to a borla 1st gen.

Gagan : not sure about MD but most other states now that do emissions tests for cars do a "plug in" test for anything OBD-II (96 and newer). No tailpipe test at all! Just plug in, and as long as the ECU reports back OK (no check engine lights, enough of the OBD-II readiness monitors set) you pass.
95-older cars still get the tailpipe test.

It was a $14 test, and only involved a visual exterior test for body damage, tire wear, and lights. They did a gas cap leak test (uses air pressure) and an OBDII scan. Certified for 2 years.
The other cool thing is that 2 years worth of registration was only like $87.
