I looked at your Craigslist ad, here it is for other people to see too :

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/car/380495448.html

With CL it works if you list it lower if you want some responses. Simple econ classes will teach you that if you aren't getting responses, especially in a month, then your price is too high and that you'll have to bring it down.

$14500 for a bugeye is a lot of money, you can get an 04-05 sti with 15,000 miles for $24,000 or less. If you want it to sell fast you're looking at between $12,000 and maybe $13,500. Your color is rare, so if you find a fellow Suby owner to buy it, that may work to your advantage... but you also need to part it out, put it back to stock.

I sold my 01RS with 95k for $9,500 in January stock except for a cf hood, springs, and a stereo, but to a non-Suby owner. You have to market it and really think about who is probably going to buy it, then market it geared at them... but back to stock is the way to go, it opens up your market to older people who don't want a modified car, either for themselves or their kids.

back to stock for the sale, plus you'll make more money,
good luck

You shouldn't have a problem selling the car...you just gotta remember not to be picky with the buyer

Hrm, looks like some STi's are going for the 22-24k price range, but that's a pretty big leap from 14.5k.

As for the price, I think it's a reasonable asking price, but finding a buyer who wants a yellow car can be difficult. Best of luck with the sale.

$14,500 isn't an outrageous starting point. It is negotiable.

Rate on kbb and what I've seen is anywhere from $13,000-15,000 for similar cars and mileage.

For a quick sale it'd probably go faster at $13,500 but it'd also give people a new starting point for offers...thus dropping offers from $13,500-14,000 down in the 12's...which is too low for the car.
